After School Club
Our After School Club is open to children who attend Derry Hill Primary School from Reception to year 6. If your early years child is already registered with the pre-school, there is the option to extend the day. Please see Days Open & Session Times for more information.
Staff will collect children from the school at 3.15pm and escort them across the school field to the Hall via the gate that separates the school from the hall garden.
We offer a range of collection times at the end of the day: 4pm, 4.30pm, 5pm and 5.30pm. The cost is £5.30 per hour. This is increasing to £5.65 per hour from April 2024. The hourly rate is paid for 3.15 to 4pm as it includes a snack that is provided upon arrival. If your child is attending a club at the village hall and would like us to take them to the club, please speak with our manager.
There is a range of activities on offer and children have access to the garden to enjoy outdoor play. There is also a 'quiet' corner for those who would prefer to simply 'chill out'!
Important information
The club will be open in-line with the Rub A Dub Pre-school calendar, which can be found here and on our Downloads page. We ask parents to familiarise themselves with the dates as they may not be the same as the primary school's calendar. Unlike Derry Hill School, the pre-school does not finish early before the start of the Christmas, Easter or Summer holidays. This means the club will not be open to primary aged children on those days.
If your child is registered with us for the After School Club it may be possible to to request 'ad hoc' care, or extension to the usual days they attend, subject to availability of spaces.
